Woodland Fall & Halloween Fabric — the Snails & Mushrooms: Autumn & Halloween Collection

I'll just say it: I love snails. I’m not always excited to find one munching through the leaves of a beloved plant in my garden. But the little curled-shell, slow-and-steady, minding-their-own-business kind of snail? Charming and adorable. And mushrooms? Mushrooms are definitely one of my favorite fall decorations. Why? Because they work just about anywhere, even a small little shelf. And they're simple, they're sweet, and they can stay up the entire season. No swapping them out, no "is it too early," no "is it too late." They're good from the first cool morning straight through to the last leaf down. (I sometimes leave them up through Christmas and winter too.)

That's the feeling I wanted to bottle up in this collection. Fall that doesn't make you choose.

I had some fun with this collection. I took some of the autumn prints — the pumpkin scenes, the directional mushrooms, the snails & mushrooms tucked in with the leaves — and gave each one a quiet dressed-up Halloween version. Nothing spooky, nothing costume-y. You could even call it Halloween-adjacent. Just the things you'd already find out in the woods this time of year: a few bats overhead, webs strung between the stems, a couple of spiders hanging out nearby. So you can sew something for fall, something for Halloween, or mix the two together — the way nature already does.
