Merry, Bright, and Every Color of the Rainbow
The quickest way for me to turn a space into something festive? Christmas lights. All kinds. Cool or warm. Red & white or rainbow bright or anything in between. Any kinds will do. Add a little Christmas music and I'm instantly feeling the holiday spirit.
As a young mom, I was drawn to the simplicity of a red-and-white themed tree. I even added a bit of bright green one year, so it felt a little more fun. But then my middle child spoke up, complaining that red and white was too boring. That the Christmas feeling was more colorful, like rainbows. And my husband confessed a love of white trees (not flocked trees — pure white trees). So now our Christmases are rainbow colorful, from the ornaments to the lights. Glitter adds sparkle. Clear prisms & ice garlands scatter the light to make it more magical.
That's the feeling of Christmas that inspired Merry & Bright. A spectrum of colors — pink, cherry red, orange, gold, light green, teal blue, orchid, purple. Like Christmas lights bringing it all to life.
And sometimes, red & green still say "merry & bright" to me, so I made sure to include plenty of the more traditional color combo. Both color avenues come on dark grounds (navy for rainbows, black for red & green) for the festive feeling of Christmas Eve, and white grounds (for both) for the joyful magic of a Christmas morning.
Cute Christmas Doodles Fabric: Packed with hand-drawn doodles of everything familiar at Christmastime. Trees with garlands and star toppers. Ornaments and bells with bows. Candy canes and gingerbread cookies. Striped stockings and wrapped presents. Pine boughs and holly & berries. Bulbs from twinkle lights and scattered stars. Trains are a nod to my oldest, rainbows for my middle child, gnomes for my youngest (& for me!) — something for everyone. Two rainbow multicolor and two red & green multicolor, both on light & dark grounds. And eight color families on white. Twelve colorways total.
Christmas Stockings & Presents Fabric: Piles of packages. Stockings lined up in a row, awaiting a visit from Santa. Stars scattered throughout. Four colorways, 2 rainbow on white or navy, two red & green on white or black.

Polka Dot Fabric: Medium dots. Like a party on the white grounds, like Christmas lights in the distance on the dark grounds. Same four colorways.
